West Lothian Employer Recruitment Incentive

The Employer Recruitment Incentive (ERI) provides financial support to businesses and third-sector organisations in West Lothian to create new, meaningful, and paid work placements for local residents. These placements aim to enhance employability, provide valuable work experience and support the local economy by funding intermediate labour market opportunities.

Criteria

Business is located in West Lothian with fewer than 250 employees or an Anchor Organisation operating in West Lothian

The job offers a minimum of 16 hours per week and is expected to last a minimum of 52 weeks

You will provide the employee with a contract of employment within two months of the start date

You pay the Real Living Wage or higher to all employees including apprentices regardless of age

Your business has no inappropriate use of zero-hour contracts

Adhere to Fair Work First commitments, including payment of the Real Living Wage and providing appropriate channels for effective worker voice

Supporting evidence will be readily available and can be provided upon request
